McDonald's All American Game selects four Texas high school basketball players

The 2022 McDonald’s All-American teams were announced Tuesday afternoon. In total, four Texas high school basketball players were selected with three on the boys team and one on the girls. Hardin-Jefferson’s Ashlon Jackson, a 2022 Duke signee, was the lone girls basketball player to be named to the team. Jackson was the 2022 Dave Campbell’s Texas Basketball Magazine Girls Preseason Player of the Year.

Anthony Black of Duncanville, Dallas Kimball’s Arterio Morris and Richardson’s Cason Wallace were named to the boys team. Black was DCTB’s 2022 Preseason Boys Basketball Player of the Year. Black is the lone un-signed player with Morris signing to Texas and Wallace signed to Kentucky.

The McDonald’s All-American game was cancelled the last two years due to COVID-19, but the 2022 event is still slated to be held on March 29 inside Wintrust Arena in Chicago. Both Keyonte George (Lewisville iSchool) and Jordan Walsh (Oak Cliff Faith Family) played in Texas before transferring out of state this season.
