Kalani Brown's injury-riddled senior season might've cost her the Big XII Player of the Year accolade, but her 15 point per game and 7 rebounds per game effort, was enough to earn her another First-Team All-Conference selection along with fellow junior teammate Lauren Cox, who was named Defensive Player of the Year, and Texas junior Sug Sutton.
Following Thursday night’s 62-48 win over West Virginia in the team’s Big XII opener, the Horned Frogs’ record pushed to 11-1 making it their best-ever start. The team’s current eight-game win streak is currently the second-longest.
After two decades of missing March Madness, TCU broke through to reach the NCAA Tournament as an at-large team. The Horned Frogs were one-and-done, losing in the first round to Syracuse. The school has made back-to-back NCAAs just once in school history and that is in the early 1950s.
