Perhaps we got spoiled the past few seasons with Texas teams being in the Final Four and Baylor winning the title last year, but nonetheless it was a thoroughly entertaining 2021-22 season in the Lone Star State.
Championship Sunday in the Lone Star Conference tournament is one of the best days of the year. The LSC is home to some of the best men’s and women’s basketball in NCAA Division II, and the conference will be well represented in next week’s NCAA tournament.
The tournament began Tuesday, with two of the four games ending in an upset. That trend continued Thursday, with the top seed surviving on a buzzer-beater while two other top seeds lost.
